The One-Straw Revolution - Masanobu Fukuoka

Parisar has long advocated sustainable agriculture and organized "Natural Farming Meets". One of the notable endeavours in this advocacy has been publishing a Marathi translation of Masanobu Fukuoka's classic "The One Straw Revolution". We also feel blessed to have been able to organize a talk by Mr Fukuoka himself in Pune.

Masanobu Fukuoka's method of natural farming, which is characterized by “Do Nothing Farming” - no tilling, no use of chemical fertilizers and no weeding, while embracing nature through agriculture. In addition, he received global praise for his method of preventing desertification by placing plant seeds in mud and creating seed balls during his many travels to various places around the world. He was an agricultural scientist and philosopher who exerted himself to preaching through many publications, song-verses, and drawings.
